LEADING CHILDREN’S PRESENTER BARNEY HARWOOD VOICES CHARACTER IN DISNEY’S PLANES TAKING OFF IN CINEMAS NATIONWIDE FROM AUGUST 16TH
Children's TV presenter Barney Harwood will be voicing a character in the Disney animated comedy adventure, Planes. The film also stars the voice talents of Dane Cook, Teri Hatcher and John Cleese and will be flying into cinemas across the UK in 3D from August 16th 2013.
Speaking on his new role as a Disney character Barney said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes of the making of the film for Blue Peter and to give our viewers a glimpse into what it is like to make an animation of this kind. I can’t wait to hear my voice in the finished movie!”
Set above the world of Cars, Disney's Planes, is an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty's not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty's courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.
The already announced voice cast includes Dane Cook, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, John Cleese, Priyanka Chopra, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer and David "Crofty" Croft. Barney’s vocal talents will be used in an action packed scene which sees him commentating on one of Dusty’s nail biting races. Barney’s recording was filmed as part of an episode of Blue Peter which can be seen on CBBC next month.
