The Perks of Being a Wallflower

With a trailer making the film out to look like something that John Hughes would have done sometime in the 80s, The Perks of Being a Wallflower seems to hit all the right cliches on making an American coming of age comedy/drama...

A funny and touching coming-of-age story based on the beloved best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up.

Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope-and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower arrives in UK cinemas on October 5, 2012.

  1. I agree the trailer is a bit of a crowd pleaser even though I like it - it does its job.

All the blog/tweets from those who have seen previews range from positive to very positive. Some say the film surprised them in a good way. The film appears to be more sad than upbeat and certainly not 'happy-clappy' like the trailer. There is not really a happy ever after ending.
