Adapted for the screen by Gavin Scott (The Borrowers, Small Soldiers), Rob Sprackling, John Smith (Gnomeo & Juliet) and Christian Taylor (Lost, Star Wars: Clone Wars) the story follows seventeen year old Mariah whose world is torn apart when his parents suddenly disappear and unknown assailants kidnap his younger brother Felix. With only a mysterious stranger, Charity, to help him, Mariah follows a trail to the majestic Prince Regent hotel.
Beneath the many floors of the luxurious hotel, which sits on the edge of a cliff, lurks a secret and sinister underworld filled with shady villains, child snatching creatures and an extraordinary box that turns everyday objects into gold. Will Mariah find his family and live to tell the tale of adventures or will he succumb to the curse of the Prince Regent?
