Verity's Summer

This film describes itself as a "coming-of-age" drama. After reading the synopsis and watching the trailer it seems to be more akin to a love story intertwined with a deceive and "dark secret" one.

"When a stranger comes to town 16-year old Verity must confront the secrets surrounding her father's time in Iraq... secrets which may teat her family apart"

VERITY’S SUMMER is a coming-of-age art-house drama written by Ben Crowe. It is the story of a young woman’s journey from the security of childhood to the compromises of adulthood and moral ambiguities of love. It is also an intimate portrayal of a family coming to terms with the traumas and violence of distant war that are brought back home.
