Big Society’s Big Mouth is encouraging young adults between 16 and 25 to voice their opinion on five key topics, Education, Environment, Economy, Politics and Volunteering, with the aim to inspire people of their generation. Entries are being submitted via YouTube as well as written text, giving young people the chance to highlight their speech writing and speech giving skills to win a range of prizes including an internship within the entertainment industry.
Tracey Herald, Director of Knowledge & Innovation at v commented, “We’re delighted to be working with Momentum Pictures to give young people a platform where their voices can be heard. The King’s Speech is an inspirational account of one man’s battle to find his voice. We want young people to find their voices – and submit inspirational speeches about the issues that matter most to them. It’s time for the voices of a new generation to be heard.”
YOURS TO OWN ON DVD, BLU-RAY AND DIGITAL DOWNLOAD FROM MAY 9, 2011
Momentum Pictures commented “The King’s Speech inspired cinema-going audiences nationwide during its theatrical release. Working with v on a project like Big Society’s Big Mouth, encouraging young people to be vocal of their opinions in such an interactive way really emphasises the power of speech that is the true undercurrent theme of the film.”
